I’m in Santa Fe, New Mexico for a week

Just thought I’d give a quick update because I know there are a few people waiting for me to update my blog.  I promise I will just as soon as I get back.  I’m here now at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops taking an awesome lighting class with Joe McNally.  I’ll be back next week with lots of new skills and ideas and can’t wait to try them out on my upcoming sessions.  See you soon!

Snowyi Memorial

I posted a few images from one of our sessions with Snowyi in a previous blog post. I had the opportunity to photograph Snowyi and her owners several times and it’s hard not to feel the pain when a dog you’ve come to know passes away. It’s always hard to hear – there really are no words – only feelings – and they hit hard and run deep. If you are reading this, undoubtedly, you’ve been touched deeply by an animal in your life so you know what I mean.

Snowyi’s mom asked me to help her put together a memorial for Snowyi using images from our sessions and personal images that she had of Snowyi with her family. Below is a tribute to Snowyi:Snowyi Memorial page 1Snowyi Memorial Page 2Snowyi Memorial 3

Spencer, Maggie and Madison (and Canine Commuter)

We had a great session with Spencer, Maggie and Madison.  They are beautiful English Cocker Spaniels with the most unique markings!  We worked both inside and outside.  Our main goal was to create a portrait for their owner that she could use on the website of her company – Canine Commuter.  (go to her website to see it)  We also wanted to create wall portraits for her home.  Here are some of the other images from the session:
