Here Kitty, Kitty . . .

It’s been a while since I’ve featured cats on the blog so I thought I’d change that. After an amazing trip to Botswana, Namibia and South Africa, I’ve finally started to check out some of the images from the trip.  This post will feature the beautiful leopard, or “Nkwe” as they say in Setswana. The first three images are of a leopard in Khwai River where we set up camp for a few days. He was so close to our vehicle, I had to take three as he walked by.

Then, we moved the camp to Moremi Game Reserve where I was able to photograph this female.

The images below are of a leopard at the Africat Foundation in Namibia which is committed to the conservation of Namibia’s large carnivores.

Three Wonderful Dogs

Meet Sianne, Athena and Hermes. All three are rescue dogs who found a wonderful home. Sianne came from a shelter in Virginia Beach. Athena was adopted from K9 Lifesavers – and Hermes was adopted from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue –

Here are a few collages because sometimes one picture isn’t enough . . .

. . . and sometimes one picture speaks volumes.

Fairfax Pets on Wheels – Patriotic Dogs

Once a year I get to photograph some of the dogs that participate in Fairfax Pets on Wheels. They, along with their owners, visit folks in assisted living and rehabilitation centers.  Huge gratitude to all of the happiness and smiles they bring!
